Upon Return...

We have all returned safely from our trip to the DR. Our daily life no longer consists of sun, sugarcane, and medical clinics. Muchas Gracias to all those who made this trip such a success, Molly, Nadine, Jim, Steve, Ned, Bob, Moises, Kristy, Tito, Andy, and Salvador. Today, we are visiting a larger batey called Copey. We're in for another full day of providing much needed medical attention to the people here in the D.R.

Our Visit to the orphanage - Thursday, March 16, 2006

We got a tour of the orphanage that is located two blocks from the Good Samaritan Hospital. They serve 110 children. We were able to donate much of the school supplies that had been collected by the 5th grade at Moses Brown.

We visited Cafe Trigo again this morning and filled up on breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Today, we are off to Batey San Tonio. Check back later for more news of our day.

After a rousing basketball game against the Kansas missionaries we headed out for Ice Cream last night. This morning we got up early and went to Cafe Trigo for a special breakfast of croissants and cafe con leche. We are heading off to another Batey, named Comoquiera, this morning.
